Continue to Support the Neighborhood Watch Program and Other Endeavors in an effort to Increase HOA Paying Membership
We successfully installed both cameras at both entrances of the neighborhood
Update our covenants
While this endeavor is meaningful, we, as a Board, find ourselves lacking in resources to successfully tackle this endeavor. We hope to consult with someone from a similar style of neighborhood HOA (i.e. mirrormont) and could use someone in the neighborhood to assist in this area if they have any expertise to offer
Hire a New Landscaping Company to Maintain the Park
We decided to hire two neighbors to mow the park and had a cleanup party in August to clear yard debris as a result of researching local companies and being denied service based on size of plot and/or cost of the work. We have been pleasantly surprised that having a local neighbor take on the mowing project currently fits our needs at the park
Continue Hosting Social Events
This year, the board hosted the following events
Waybacks Concert – July 30th
National Night Out, Movie in the Park – August 1
Park Cleanup Yard Work Party – August 12
Annual Picnic – September 17th
Halloween Event – October 31st
Holiday Party, sponsoring the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank – December 17th
Easter Egg Hunt- March 30th
Update our Bylaws and Name
We hope to change our name to Overdale Community Association to better reflect our involvement and purpose in Overdale Park. We are not a traditional HOA. The name Overdale Community Association will more easily reflect our goals of park maintenance, city and community involvement, provide a forum for neighborhood discussion and to plan and sponsor Overdale Park community events
Continue Hosting Social Events
We plan to continue hosting similar events as the previous year
The park cleanup event will be held on or around July 13th
The Annual Picnic will most likely be held on September 8th
Research Mailbox Hut Maintenance
We spoke with two different neighbors about doing an upkeep project to structurally fix some mailbox huts and to paint all of them
The first quote came back at $18K
The board will discuss if this is a good use of funds and look for other quotes
Increase Membership
We hope to gain more paying members. What do you, as a member, think would encourage non paying neighbors to become a paying member of the HOA? (i.e. mailboxes, play structure, etc) We have added this question to the voting submission document.
